William F. Hennessey is an independent transportation consultant and former Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce
in Macedonia.

Bill’s transportation background includes 28 years of domestic and international experience as an employee and executive of leading American Railway, Containership, Trucking and Information Technology companies. In addition, he has worked in the US and overseas as a consultant for the US Trade and Development Agency, USAID, the World Bank, the Association of American Railroads and major US companies.

He moved from the US to Macedonia in October 2003 to become Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Macedonia, a position that he held for 15 months, until 31 January 2005.

Bill is an avid runner and hiker. When in Macedonia, he hikes Mt.Vodno and all the way to Matka. He then restores his energy with a glass of T’ga za Jug and a fine lunch of shopska salata and selsko meso.

He has been affiliated with the Macedonian Arts Council since April 2006.
